Cottages in the South of England
Aren’t we lucky to have the South of England so close to home? Our very own Riviera. Such an enjoyable area to spend some leisure time.
Whatever you’re looking for, be it iconic landmarks, beautiful shorelines, family fun and attractions, fantastic quality restaurants or a countryside stroll with your dog, the South of England has it all.
With such emblematic places as Canterbury, Brighton, Bournemouth, Plymouth and Barnstable, the South plays host to many of the UK’s top tourist attractions. Cheif attractions include the awesome Canterbury Cathedral where you can hear the angelic bells chiming, or take a wander to any of the surrounding Kentish castles including the not to be missed Leeds and Dover castles and historic stately homes.
East Sussex offers the flair and vibrancy of Brighton, where the Open Market and the famous Lanes can be enjoyed alongside the peace and quiet of the South Downs and quintessential England.
One of the less visited but most certainly just as stunning areas in the South is Dorset, which is an excellent holiday spot for couples or whole family get-togethers. The Ape rescue Centre and Monkey World are always worth a visit. Or for something a little more civilized, head over to Corfe Castle and experience over a thousand years worth of history.
Just along from Dorset is Devon, offering stunning coastlines including the North Devon Heritage Coast, the city of Plymouth, fishing villages of Brixton and home to the Royal Navy’s training college, Dartmouth. Exploring Devon’s south coast can also bring you up close with the National Marine Aquarium or alternatively Blackfriars Gin Distillery, if you’re looking for something a little different for the adults to enjoy.
Then of course there's Cornwall, an obvious choice holiday destination and one that never fails to attract visitors from far and wide! With so many options to entice you it can be a tricky decision, take a look at the properties below to see if we hold the key to your perfect holiday home.
