A Rare-bit of Welsh Luxury

Once again we are giving away a fantastic seven night cottage holiday, to be taken anytime this year that suits you! To add a touch more glamour to the occasion, we’re creating the perfect combination of a luxurious five star property set amongst the wild open spaces of the Welsh countryside and a fantastic Rest and Unwind personal spa treatments package.

It's time to relax and unwind with our new ‪Win A Luxury Cottage Holiday‬ competition!

We're offering you the chance to win a luxury stay for just the two of you at Felin Fach cottage in Wales. You and your guest can enjoy this remote and picturesque location, and during your time here receive a two hour Rest and Unwind organic treatments package from a personal therapist, kindly sent by our friends at My Personal Sanctuary. Ten runners up will also receive an ‘Unwind – Herbal Organic Bathing Collection’ from Neal’s Yard Remedies. Closing date for entries is 9am on Monday 16th March 2015. Enter Now - Good luck!

Pick of the crop, Felin Fach is a picturesque Visit Wales Five Star converted water mill set in idyllic Carmarthenshire, this property offers landscaped gardens complete with a babbling stream running through the heart of its picturesque surroundings. If the stunning location and high end accommodation isn’t enough, we’re partnering with My Perfect Sanctuary; to offer indulgent pampering in the comfort and luxury of this sumptuous setting.

Holidays should be as much an opportunity to visit different locations and see the sights as much as they are a chance to switch off and escape the daily rigours of everyday life. The breathtaking scenery of Carmarthenshire certainly helps blow the cobwebs away, with its vast sandy beaches, ancient forests, lush green and fertile farmland, and magnificent mountains creating  the  perfect tonic for a true holiday recharge. This South West pocket of Wales is not all about landscapes and geology - steeped in history this corner of the Welsh countryside has long been at the centre of myth and legend and is home to some of the most atmospheric castles in the whole of Europe.

When days are filled with walking, biking, fighting dragons, reciting poetic verse or singing to the hills (it is Wales after all) surely there is nothing more welcoming than the warming flames of a wood burner, the anticipation of soothing bubbles of a bath or the extra special treat of your very own visiting spa, offering the absolute in Rest and Unwind treatment packages. This cottage provides all this and more, with a cosy open plan living area, a nestled log burner and luxurious bathroom suite - it’s a magical spot for two, to spend some precious time away from it all. We quite understand if you chose never to leave the confines of its four walls but, there is plenty to see just on the doorstep...

Pumsaint, in the valley of River Cothi can lay claim to being within sight of ancient gold mines and Roman settlements. Now the area, part of the Dolaucothi estate, lends itself to pony trekking and fishing with guided tours of the gold mines organised through the National Trust. Further afield, Lampeter is a small and bustling market town in the heart of the countryside, this little place is the oldest degree awarding institution in Wales. Not only a town for young elite minds, it was once an important centre for agriculture and drovers. Lampeter now thrives on tourism, though has never failed to retain its historical charms with cattle markets, antique auctions, horse fairs and food festivals still littering the calendar, which are great attractions for all those who make a visit to this pretty market town.

You can enter our luxury Wales Cottage Giveaway competition here. But if you aren’t lucky enough to win our fantastic giveaway, this corner of Wales is definitely worth a visit and we have a whole host of beautiful cottages perfectly located to make the most of fabulously diverse, fabled and enchanting land.
