Dorset - Cardsmill Farm Holidays offers Self-catering and Bed & Breakfast accommodation on family working farms in the Marshwood Vale.
Courthouse Dairy and Courthouse Cottage are situated on the outskirts of the village of Whitchurch Canonicorum. It is located 3 miles from the coast of Charmouth and 5 miles from Lyme Regis. Taphouse Farmhouse is about 2 miles away from the village of Marshwood and about 2.5 miles from Whitchurch Canonicorum. The Stable at Wakelys Farm is situated in the village of Whitchurch Canonicorum.
The self-catering properties:
Taphouse Farmhouse sleeps 16 in 6 bedrooms and has 4 bath / shower rooms (2 ensuites). It has 2 bedrooms (1 family which is ensuite)and 2 bathrooms downstairs plus 4 bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs.The kichen/dining room will seat up to 16 and has access to the large lounge . At the back of the house the Conservatory leads to the garden. Taphouse Farmhouse is a large detached stone and brick-built house with a slate roof. The garden is of approximately 0.5 acre with lawns, stoned patio area, flower beds and apple trees, all within a garden fence; the part around the entrance gate and door is walled in making it extra safe for small children. Large car park near the house and games room .
Courthouse Dairy sleeps 11-14 in 4 bedrooms and has 3 bath / shower rooms. The Dairy is a single storey barn conversion from the obsolete cowstall and dairy at Courthouse Farm. All the original beams and trusses have been preserved and incorporated in the ceilings and the old windows and doors have been replaced by wooden stained doors and wooden windows with double glazing. A wood burning stove with a large red brick fireplace installed for the ‘olde worlde' feel. It has a large lounge/ kitchen are leading to the conseravory which has dining table and chairs, with access to the enclosed garden.The property has wide door ways so is suitable for wheelchair users. Plenty of parking spaces are beside the house. Shared Games Barn with the Cottage.
Courthouse Cottage sleeps 7-9 in 3 bedrooms and has 2 shower rooms. A large semi detached chalet bungalow that has wonderful country views, its own private garden with 0.25 acre lawn and some mature trees, plenty of parking and grounds. The Cottage has downstairs bedrooom and shower room plus a family ensuite bedroom and twin bedrooms upstairs.Downstairs has a lounge, kitchen and conservatory/dining room with access to the garden.The lawn is fenced by wooden rails and wire fence to keep children and dogs in and sheep and cattle out. In the garden there is a barbecue and garden tables and chairs. Games barn shared with the Dairy.
The Stable, Wakelys Farm sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and has 1 bathroom, 1 shower rooms and 1 seperate w.c. A new barn conversion that has wonderful country views, its own private garden and plenty of parking . The Stable has double bedrooom with ensuite shower room, another double bedroom and a twin room. It has a lounge/ kitchen/dining room with access to a patio. In the garden there is a barbecue and garden tables and chairs. The property has wide door ways so is suitable for wheelchair users.
