The hill that can be seen from the cottage is known as Dane's Hill - rising to over 600 feet and therefore accounts for the name of the cottage.
Close by to the rural market town of Axminster and within 8 miles of the superb Lyme Bay Jurassic Coastline famous for its fossils and now designated as a World Heritage Site, this location offers a wealth of attractions and National Trust properties to visit. Also within 8 miles is the delightful town of Honiton, famous for its lace and antique shops.
